The Stephenson Building was built in around 1892. It was owned by George Stephenson. This building was used for prostitution, illegal gambling, bootlegging and many other illegal activities. The basement contains 4 entrances to tunnels that ran under the city. The tunnels were once passageways for the KKK, Al Capones associates and the Dillinger Gang. With so much history and mystery surrounding this building paranormal activity is never ending. Guests have reported hearing footsteps, disembodied voices, they have seen shadow figures, doors opening and closing and items being thrown from tables. Much of this activity has also been captured on EVP recorders as well as caught on camera!
